I was in need of a scan tool to diagnose two VS Holden commodores. The scan tool delivered clear and accurate valuable information, Simple and straight forward to use and operate. On both vehicles I was able to get to bottom of both engine and airbag issues. Being able to print the displayed information was a big plus for me. The cost of this scan tool is reasonable when considering its capability. Other makes and models are covered through the purchase of additional soft ware, this can get expensive if you are trying to cover a large range of vehicles. Overall a great product.

These are a great little scan tool lots of features for the price. I already have one and have added 5 more car makes to it and also used a 32gb micro sd card. The only problem i have had with it which i contacted Vident is that on Holden VE>2009>Service>Adaptions>Fuel Trim Reset is that i get a can bus off error the Stability ESP off light comes on the dash, it will sometimes take 9 minutes to enter Fuel Trim Reset which the Trim percentages say -2600% and -34% i dont know if this is a scan tool software compaitibility issue or something else, i have a hikeit throttle controller attached ( dont know if thats interferring ) when i scan for codes i get a can bus off in ECBM, other than that it works perfect, would recommend to anyone looking for a full function scan tool for a cheap price, its a great starting point for car enthusiant but who i am to say im getting a collection of scan tools now. I still give this scan tool apart from the problem it has with my car 5 stars. Keep up the good work AZ Scanners.

I have recently purchased a Vident i400 for use on a VX commodore. I wasn't sure just how reliable this unit would be with the earlier Holden protocols, but I was actually pleasantly surprised. It connects quickly, it uses the now standard diagnostic protocol's and works through each page quickly, so far I have not suffered a complete lock up which I frequently experience on other brands of scanner on European vehicles, so I am very happy with the product and personally I feel it is good quality, very well priced.

Bought this it does what it’s meant too, added another 4 car makes and a 32gb sd card. Still like Autel better though. Undecided whether to keep this or move it on. It’s good value for money and a great starting point for a DIY Mechanic. The add on car makes are $60 USD on the Vident account, so a little pricey. Hope this review helps someone decide on this scan tool. Great communication from AZ Scanners too.

Came preinstalled with Holden software and easily connected to a VT Commodore. The i400 is a good diagnostic tool with many features including testing fuel injectors, various solenoids, and relays. I read the fault codes easily and cleared them. I also ran the various test to check if all the components are functioning normally. I then re-linked the ecu with the PCM and the VT is now more responsive and so far it has not stalled while being driven or while idling.

Bought scanner as mechanic couldn't find what was causing a shudder that recently developed in my car. Plugged scanner in and found issue straight away. Problem is fixed and never relying on mechanic again.

The tool works fine for my vx commodore (2001) for removing the airbag fault code light on the dash.. although if you don't fix the error that you see on the scan tool,it does come back on...scan to clear again...also changed my wheel hubs now ABS is on doesn't support this code.. maybe it needs to be upgraded or I'm not using it correctly so it's probably paid for itself as I have removed the airbag light fault code 4 or 5 times now was no problem before I changed the damaged clockspring after following all the protocols so bought the tool hoping that I don't have to go to the stealership or my local mechanic who sees me as a money pit or is it time to upgrade The car..

Hi Jeff, If the scanners are capable of clearing codes but the code comes back up this means that the sensor is reporting the fault again so the repairs were not completed as supposed. Please address this on your end. There is also lots of good info on https://forums.justcommodores.com.au/ about some repair situations.

Was amazed at how comprehensive this little scanner is. Not only does it have excellent scan functions but also links BCM / PCM / KEYS plus many other functions. Have used many scan tools,some megabuck units. Bought to access pre 2005 Commodores & extremely happy with its performance. A bit clunky as have to select each item from scan selection & press F3 key to get readout & then back out & go again on next item, but a minor issue when considering the price & it's ability to perform. Great value for money.

Scannned both of my vehicles and found no error codes or faults, which is comforting. Between the two vehicles, which I have owned for many years the Vident OBD11 will serve itself for a long time. There have been error codes previously and end up costly when taken to a mechanic. Although, this maybe the case sometimes, minor issues you can correct yourself. Five minutes in the workshop can be expensive. There are a lot of functions this scanner can perform which I'm about to discover in the future. I think this tool is a must in your arsenal.

There is the Holden function list for this scanner under the 'Vehicle Coverage Options' on the i400AU so not sure if you checked that to understand the capability of the scanner going down to vehicle model/ year make. Anyhow feel free to contact us and if you ar not happy with the scanner to return the unit for refund as long as it is in the original conditions and within 30 days from the delivery date if needed.

This scan tool is user friendly & identified then on command cleared my airbag error code & airbag light. Turn ignition off for a few minutes or more after clearing code.Have saved already on one mobile mechanic fee. Will use this tool with confidence in the future. On initial purchase check whether software for your vehicle is already loaded to inserted "SIM like" card. Instructions advise you to acquire software over internet, this was not necessary fortunately as I had specified vehicle make & model on puchase

Worked perfectly. Cleaned up SRS codes and waiting on new parts. Allowed me to find unknown problem of cam sensor and clear codes. Wish new cars didn't have as much electronics.
