HT25 car ignition probe is an inductive capacitance probe that must be used with an oscilloscope to test the spark ignition secondary overlapping wave and overlapping wave parameters to detect and diagnose the ignition state of the engine. Change in the firing voltage of the cylinder over time is visually displayed from the oscilloscope.
The 250cm pick-up line has three ends, one for the BNC connector to be used for the oscilloscope, one for the clip grounding, and one for the pick-up clip for the high-voltage line. Pick-up clip is an attenuator that attenuates the picked high voltage to a low voltage to protect the oscilloscope from electrical shock.
When using please note:
- Test clips shall not directly clip in spark plug, should be caught in the connection of the spark plugs of insulation wire, in order to prevent the breakdown and causing a shock.
- To distance other high-voltage at least 2 inches apart, lest produce interference.
- HT25 leading line length 2.5 meters, attenuation of up to 5000:1.
