Sorry to see there is no contact from you asking for help. Please feel free to do so anytime. We have been selling diagnostics and cable adapters for some time and these cables are hardly faulty. If they are faulty the scanner won't even boot up. Sounds more like you are using OBD2 scanner while trying to diagnose OBD1 car as maybe you missed the note 'Note: This item is only the adapter. Requires a scan tool capable of reading OBD1 Nissan cars. ' on the page you have purchased the cable from.
